Born in Hartford, Connecticut, Rachel Comey has created quite a cult like following- becoming the uniform of choice for cool downtown girls. However, few are aware that the former Theory design consultant actually got her start designing menswear. The unexpected outcome of her menswear designs was the number of women who bought her garments. This led her to design a women's line in 2003. Innovative textures and luxurious fabrics add depth to sculpted silhouettes, while vintage inspired details polish off her wearable, obsessable city chic collections.
