Eugenie Huang of emerging accessories line Deka Ray holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in architecture, but from the mere age of eight has been designing strange, one-of-a-kind jewelry that is now featured in the glossy pages of major magazine and the white runways of New York designers alike. Her observations and experiences of biology, vectors, mechanisms, music, and her training as an architect have served to influence the objects, concepts and style that she refines into her jewelry for Deka Ray. The resulting styles gently tap the line between statement pieces and over-the-top ornaments: "I appreciate constraint. You can play around with the design, but ultimately the pieces have to relate to your body.
