Cheeky Sandwiches Opened on the Block! YESSSSS!!

After over four months of waiting with bated breath, we saw that Cheeky Sandwiches has finally opened on our block (Orchard St between Hester & Canal Sts)!  This cute little sandwich shop serves up New Orleans treats like beignets, Cafe du Monde coffee, po’ boys, fried chicken sandwiches, and more!  It’s so incredibly perfect inside, with white brick walls, a huge mural of the artist’s friends, counter seating with red stools, an open kitchen, and an indoor outhouse!

I stopped by to welcome my new neighbors to the block and was treated to some deeeeelicious beignets.  I also ordered a fried chicken on buttermilk biscuit sandwich with a sinful gravy and red cabbage slaw.  Seriously, this place is the bomb!  I usually don’t say “the bomb” (who says “the bomb” anymore?), but this place truly deserves it!  You have to, HAVE TO go check it out!  Did I mention it’s also vegetarian friendly?  Check out some photos below.  Cheeky Sandwiches is located at 35 Orchard St, on the same block as Gargyle (16A Orchard St between Hester & Canal).  Come by and visit us both!
