Everyone Say Hi to the New Kid

Each season, we do our best to serve up the freshest goods from the brands that you can’t live without and new brands that we know that you’ll love. So, we are very pleased to be carrying the women’s shoe line New Kid, handmade and brought straight to you from Italy.

New Kid is the brainchild of designer Rachel Beagley who recently relocated from China to Italy, and her styles are just as diverse as her previous home fronts. For Fall/Winter 2010, memories of the 90s, trashy music, and slacker films heavily influence the mix, as well as a little bit of countryside flair. In short, there is a style that will appeal to any and every kind of girl, whether you’re more of a classic shapes sort of lady, or a little more downtown rugged with your stylings, or a connoisseur of both. Either way, New Kid has got you covered.

While the make of the shoes scream luxury with supple suede outers, stamped leathers, intricate patterned embroidered stitching, stacked stained wood heels, and embossed metal clasps, among other fine details, the price of these shoes will not having you running for the Tuscan hills.

Right now, we’re especially enamored with these styles:

Dreamcore Boot, $185

Overstitch Boot, $185

Tonk Boot, $170

We Give a Gold to Acne’s FW 2010 Trophy Jacket

It’s no secret that Acne is amazing but they just may have outdone themselves this season with a smartly edited selection of mens jackets, coats, and accessories in an ultra wearable palette of neutral khaki, olive, and navy.

Although most of Acne’s pieces are certified future classics, we have to admit that we’re really singing our praises for the Acne Trophy Jacket, a true all-seasons, all-weather coat that not only has the kind of shape and cut that can transform any guy into that effortlessly put together fellow but this coat truly packs a ton of function, too.

Now if you’re like most, you might indulge in one or two new coats this season, so if you’re still hunting for that wearable perfection, let us say this: This. Coat. Is. It.

This hooded military green jacket hits the thigh and features brass buttons and hardware, features tan leather details, and multiple straps and pockets. But those stylings are not the mere reason why we’re all about this jacket. Besides being timeless in looks, this coat will work in any climate thanks to its fully removable padded lining, which can be snapped on or off for a light coverall or for those days when you need a little more heat.

Trust us, you don’t want to be without this jacket.

A Few More Reasons to Love Lover

Romantics rejoice – Lover the label is back and has brought the triple threat L’s that they’re so well known for – Lush, Luxe, and Lacey numbers – and we couldn’t be more ecstatic.

Their Fall/Winter 2010 collection is entitled “UNTITLED” and is inspired by artists, canvases, and water colors. That said, the collection is chalk full of water imbued hues like soft wheats and milky roses, along with striking inky blacks done in sensory-awakening fabrics like delicate embroidered laces, chunky wool herringbones, plush velvets, and cloud like merino and cashmere blends.

We personally love this cult fave brand from down under as they always seem to bypass timely trends and create pieces that follow no rule but their own – to be truly beautiful. Our verdict? Mission accomplished.

Here’s two of our favorite pieces from this collection – what are YOURS?
