VENA CAVA

Vena Cava was created by designers Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock in 2003. After being rejected from their Parsons senior show, the two decided that wasn't going to stop them and decided to create a twelve look line in their apartment in Brooklyn. From this, Vena Cava was born. The designers enjoy putting a hand-done aesthetic to their clothing and focus on originality. A theme for their clothes: to have silhouettes that, from afar, look elegant and classy and not too obtrusive. And when you get closer there are a few details that are still unusual and interesting. In 2010, Vena Cava added capsule collection "Viva Vena!" to the mix, putting together a line of leisurewear focused around organic cottons and jersey silks.
