The Immortal Grace Jones
We saw Grace Jones at Central Park Summerstage back in the day. It was 4 in the afternoon and the sun was beating down, but it felt like 3am in a bumping club. She killed it with amazing vocals and crazy stage presence, capping off the performance by tearing her top off, jumping into a crowd and dancing as she closed things out.
And at 61 she hasn’t lost a step. Check out the video evidence from Sonar in Barcelona last month. Hope I can hula hoop that well at her age!
