Introducing RIVIERAS Classics Leisure Shoes- The Best Summer Shoes EVER!

Seven summers ago during a week long stay in Frejus, a quaint little town along the French Riviera coast, I went down to the Monday morning market for a baguette where I stumbled upon a pen full of natural mesh and canvas shoes banded together by their cream rubber soles.  After jockeying for position amongst a dozen French senior citizens, I managed to find my size and slipped on one of these mesmerizing babies.  From that moment on, my new old man mesh leisure shoes and I were inseparable.  To the beach, out to dinner, all around Marseille, and back to NYC- summer lovin’ had me a blast!

After three summers of good times in these shoes, I foolishly tried to clean them in the washing machine.  The mesh uppers came out shrunken like in the sitcoms and I was crushed.  As soon as I had left the South of France I had regretted not getting five more reserve pairs, but now I was throwing a full on, grown man tantrum over it!  So started my mission to find these shoes again, but to no avail until recently when I bumped into the Rivieras guys.  I was so stoked to find out that not only did they share the same affection I had for these leisure classics, but they had even improved them!  When I sang them my shrunken mesh blues, they knew exactly what I was talking about and told me that they had fixed the problem with high quality non-shrinking materials and better construction!  Not only that, they also replaced the original cheap terry inner soles with a padded leather one for extra comfort and added a touch of luxury to each shoe with a subtle gold Rivieras insignia.
